Company News Roundup: Changing Faces At Broder Metals Group

At Broder Metals Group, we pride ourselves on harnessing the skills of every member of our specialist team. Only by providing our colleagues with a rigorous programme of professional development can we deliver outstanding service for our customers, every time. We are therefore delighted to announce that our Goods Inwards Inspector, Richard Appleby, will be moving into the office to cover the maternity leave of our Certification Clerk, Zoe, who is expecting a baby boy in June (congratulations Zoe!)

As Zoe will be busy with nappies and bottles for several months, this will offer Richard a fantastic opportunity to develop his knowledge of material specifications and process work, as well as providing him with invaluable opportunities to work directly with customers and suppliers in his new role.

Known as a quick learner with the skills to rapidly adapt to changing circumstances, Richard joined Broder Metals Group as an apprentice in 2017. He is currently studying for a Level 5 Diploma in Quality Management with the respected Institute of Supply Chain Management, a foundation degree-level qualification that will enable Richard to play a key strategic role in our company. Of course, moving personnel within a business always means there are gaps to fill, so we’re pleased that Richard’s duties in the warehouse will be carried out by new recruit Tomas Broadhead, who comes to us with several years’ previous experience in the steel industry.

We are confident in Richard’s abilities and know he will continue to play a vital role in the growth of our business. We wish him and Zoe the best of luck in their changing roles during 2021.
